4-H Horse Program

The 4-H Horse program is developed for individuals who have a passion for horses whether they own one or not.  Some activities offered include the following:

Non-Riding Horse Activities

Horse Bowl & Hippology – Quiz bowl to test equine IQ.  Practices begin in November, competition is in January.

Horse Judging – Members learn the criteria for different equine disciplines and then attend 3+ judging contests in April(regional) and June (state).

Horse Speech and Demonstration Contests – Individuals can create a speech or equine related demonstration and present it at competitions.

Horseback Riding Activities

Regional & State Horse Shows – Members are eligible for any and all 4-H sanctioned shows for the upcoming show season. See below for more information on upcoming horse shows.
