Camps and Conferences

There are many camps and conferences 4-H members can attend. Below are a few main highlights of each camp and conference.

Our most popular camp is open to 4th-6th grade students and is held at the Clyde-Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, TN.

2021 Jr Camp has been cancelled, however; the campground will be traveling to counties to offer a Day Camp! This will happen on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Athens Regional Park.

Sign Up Day will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 beginning at 11am. The cost to attend is $50. A scholarship of $25 will be offered to anyone signing up on May 24. Spots are limited so please sign up ASAP to guarantee a spot. Bring the completed application and health form below to register your child on May 24. Printed applications can also be picked up at the office.

Similar to Junior Camp, Junior High Camp is set up for 7th-8th graders at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, TN

2021 camp has been cancelled. 7th & 8th Graders are welcome to attend the Day Camp featured under Jr 4-H Camp.

This is a great conference for a very low price, but you have to complete applications in your project area and be selected to attend.

 Each year youth are selected in project areas based on an application process and a 305A form.

The top finalists based on their work in their project area are selected to attend the conference taking part in various activities in their interest area, participating in a service project, and making lots of new memories!

Academic Conference Date: June 7, 2021 at University of Tennessee Knoxville

Deadline to apply: April 26, 2021 Notifications of acceptance will be received on May 14.

If you enjoy working with electricity, wiring, testing batteries, and more then Electric Camp is the place for you! Electric Camp is open to any 6th or 7th grade student. Cost to attend: TBD

Electric Camp Date: June 14 at Clyde York 4-H Center, Crossville TN

Electric Camp Application

2021 Fashion & Design Conference will be held as a one day, in person event! Different sessions and classes will be held including sewing and craft projects.

The conference is open to any current 6th-12th grade (must have completed 6th grade to attend) 4-H member. Space is limited to 3 participants per county. Cost is $25 and this price includes lunch.

Note: Transportation is not included for this camp.

Fashion & Design Conference Date: July 13 2021 9am to 5pm at Tri-State Exhibition Center located at 200 Natures Trail in McDonald, TN.

Deadline to apply: April 28, 2021

Designed for Senior Level I 4-Her’s (9th and 10th graders) to learn about state government first hand.  This entails a trip to Nashville to meet with their local representatives, as well as hold mock elections for officials, debate and vote on 4-H issues, and a ride on the General Jackson Show Boat. Delegates will ride a charter bus to/from conference. A pre-requisite of attending State 4-H Congress is attending Congress Readiness Day.
