Provide dairy producers with the latest research-verified information on all aspects of dairy cattle production and management.

Master Dairy Producer Program – Training opportunities will be offered by the University of Tennessee. Modules will be available in Athens or surrounding counties and last 3 hours per module. UT will be offering at least three modules during the year – one module in the fall, at least one module in the winter (January or February), and a third module within the year. UT Extension will issue certificates to an individual producer in the name of the producer taking the course and the year the certificate was issued.

Holstein Steer Marketing Program: UT Extension – McMinn County Agent works with local livestock marketing agencies to provide graded Holstein steer marketing opportunities to dairy and beef producers to add value to their cattle.

TN Quality Milk Initiative – TQMI is a grassroots effort to improve milk quality not only in Tennessee, but also throughout the Southern Region. The goal of this reference center is to provide science-based information to dairy producers and others in the dairy industry on the production of quality milk and help realize the profitability and sustainability associated with quality milk production.

Dairy Herd Improvement Association – Objectives is to promote accuracy, credibility, and uniformity of dairy herd improvement records. The Tennessee program is administrated through the University of Tennessee Animal Science Department.
