Vegetable, Lawn and Horticultural Programs

Providing programs to help homeowners with plant, turf and landscape issues. Whether it is planting a tree in your yard, identifying an insect that’s gnawing on your plants, treating a fungus in your lawn, or deciding which fertilizer to use, UT Extension has the knowledge and expertise to help with garden, lawn and landscaping questions and problems.

Soil Testing – Soil testing service is offered through the state lab in Nashville. You may obtain a kit and instructions at the Extension Office. Basic soil tests are $15.00 (payable when you mail the test off).

Distance Diagnostics – Extension Office can assist with disease and insect identification through use of distance diagnostics. Bring specimen by the Extension Office or send a digital image. Visit or call the office for more details.
