4-H Camps and Conferences
There are many camps and conferences 4-H members can attend. Below are a few main highlights of each camp and conference.
Our most popular camp is open to 4th-6th grade students and is held at the Clyde-Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, TN.
2025 Camp Dates: May 26-30, 2025

Cost to attend is $TBD per camper.
This cost includes transportation to/from the campground via school bus. Parent/Guardians are responsible for getting the camper to/from the UT Extension – McMinn County Office (located on Denso Drive, Athens). Cost also includes lodging in air conditioned cabins, meals, secondary-insurance policy, and a t-shirt.
There are tons of activities to do while at camp: Olympic size swimming pool with a waterslide, swim lessons available for those who wish to attend. Fishing, canoeing, and kayaking on a beautiful lake with a mountain view. Basketball, soccer, volleyball, ga-ga ball, and other organized sport related games available on daily basis. Water Olympics and Land Olympics competitions. Evenings will include a talent show, carnival, and dance/movie night. BB and archery range, a new art/craft each day, ropes course, wood working center, air-brush, tie-dying, wildlife center, early morning cookout for a hands on camp-style breakfast over the fire (optional), stargazing, camp songs, and memories to last a lifetime!

Similar to Junior Camp, Junior High Camp is set up for 7th-8th graders at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, TN
2025 Camp Dates: July 7-11, 2025
Cost to attend is $TBD per camper WITHOUT transportation and $TBD per camper WITH transportation. If you choose the without option, you are responsible for transportation to and from the campground. Register and pay online here: (Link will be posted when available)
This is a great conference for a very low price, but you have to complete applications in your project area and be selected to attend.
Each year youth are selected in project areas based on an application process.
The top finalists based on their work in their project area are selected to attend the conference taking part in various activities in their interest area, participating in a service project, and making lots of new memories!

If you enjoy working with electricity, wiring, testing batteries, and more then Electric Camp is the place for you! Electric Camp is open to any 6th or 7th grade student. Cost to attend: TBD. Scholarship Opportunity: Volunteer Electric Cooperative sponsors two children whose families are customers.

2025 Camp Dates: June 24-27, 2025, Knoxville
The conference is open to any current 6th-12th grade (must have completed 6th grade to attend) 4-H member. Space is limited to 3 participants per county.

2025 Camp Dates: June 3-5, 2025 at Edgewater Hotel, Gatlinburg
Designed for Senior Level I 4-Her’s (9th and 10th graders) to learn about state government first hand. This entails a trip to Nashville to meet with their local representatives, as well as hold mock elections for officials, debate and vote on 4-H issues, and a ride on the General Jackson Show Boat. Delegates will ride a charter bus to/from conference. A pre-requisite of attending State 4-H Congress is attending Congress Readiness Day.
